(NSGH) PHONG Y PARISH SOLEMNLY OPENS THE MONTH OF MARY (May 3, 2026)
“The Rain Falls as Grace — Our Hearts Blossom in Offering to Mary”

In the sacred atmosphere of May, the month traditionally dedicated to honoring the Blessed Virgin Mary, Phong Ý Parish solemnly celebrated the opening of the Month of Flowers on the afternoon of May 3, 2026, with a Marian procession held in a spirit of reverence and devotion.
The celebration began with a solemn procession carried out in an orderly and prayerful manner. Amid the gentle harmony of hymns and prayers, the faithful united in offering their filial love and devotion to the Blessed Mother. Every step of the procession and every fervent prayer of the Rosary blended together, creating a sacred atmosphere that reflected the community’s deep reverence and trust in Mary, their loving Mother.
Following the procession was the floral offering presented by the parish children on behalf of the entire parish community. The fresh flowers, offered through simple yet meaningful gestures, expressed love, reverence, and the pure hearts of childhood.
Despite the unfavorable weather and heavy rain, the children faithfully remained present and completed the floral offering with remarkable devotion. Beneath the falling rain, each step remained steady and each gesture reverent, like silent yet powerful prayers lifted up to the Blessed Virgin Mary. Rather than interrupting the celebration, the rain became a living sign of faith, love, and complete trust in God and in the Mother of the Church.
With the eyes of faith, the parish community received the rain not as an obstacle, but as a grace granted through the intercession of the Blessed Mother — a sign of God’s love and blessing upon the parish. In that very trial, the simple yet steadfast faith of the children shone brightly, becoming a living witness that inspired devotion in all who were present.
After the procession and floral offering, the faithful continued with the celebration of the Holy Mass in a spirit of thanksgiving. In his homily, the parish priest encouraged the community to live out the spirit of the Month of Mary through concrete acts of faith and devotion. He also emphasized the spiritual meaning of the day’s celebration with these heartfelt words: “The rain falls as a grace bestowed by Our Lady, and our hearts continue to blossom in offering to her.”
It is hoped that from the fervent spirit of this opening celebration, every member of the faithful — especially the children — will continue to keep the flame of faith burning brightly, living lives of simplicity, trust, and daily offering to Mary through “spiritual flowers” of love, sacrifice, and prayer.
May the Blessed Virgin Mary, full of grace, continue to protect, support, and accompany Phong Ý Parish, so that every parishioner may become a beautiful flower pleasing to her heart, helping to glorify God in today’s world.
