In the spirit of devotion during the Marian Month, Cây Hồng Parish joyfully welcomed the floral offering delegation from Giàng La Pán Parish for a gathering of fellowship and communion with the local faithful.
Traveling nearly 200 kilometers from the remote highland villages of Northwest Vietnam, crossing winding mountain roads and enduring many hardships, the faithful of Giàng La Pán arrived at Cây Hồng Parish with hearts full of love for the Blessed Virgin Mary. Their journey was not merely a visit, but a profound witness of faith, sacrifice, and ecclesial communion among the People of God.
Amid the melodies of Marian hymns echoing through the church, each graceful movement in the floral offering became a spiritual bouquet lovingly presented to Our Lady. Though coming from distant mountainous regions, the faithful of Giàng La Pán brought with them a simple yet sincere devotion that deeply moved the parishioners of Cây Hồng.
The exchange and floral offering ceremony unfolded in an atmosphere of reverence, joy, and fraternal charity. Smiles, greetings, and shared moments between the two parish communities helped erase geographical distances, uniting all hearts before Mary in love and faith.
Following the floral offering, a solemn Mass of thanksgiving was celebrated with the participation of a large number of parishioners from both communities. During the Eucharistic celebration, the faithful offered prayers of gratitude to God for His abundant blessings, while also praying for ever-deepening unity and charity between the two parishes.
Notably, as the Mass concluded, a gentle rain began to fall, as though heaven itself was pouring down grace upon the gathering. The rain of blessings added a touching and memorable dimension to the day, reminding everyone of the loving presence and maternal protection of the Blessed Virgin Mary.
The meeting between Cây Hồng Parish and Giàng La Pán Parish left a profound impression on all who attended. More than simply a parish exchange, it became a beautiful testimony to the unity of the Church — where Catholics, whether from the lowlands or the distant mountains, remain united in one faith, one love, and one heart devoted to Our Lady.
Below are some photos from the event.
