A Joyful Gathering Filled with Sacred Traditions
From the early hours of the afternoon, the campus of the Don Bosco Institute in Dalat was filled with the footsteps of priests, religious, children, young people, and members of the faithful from various parishes within the deanery. The vibrant melodies of the Don Bosco brass band resounded joyfully like a hymn of welcome, inviting every heart to draw near to Our Blessed Mother.
Before the Holy Mass, the faithful took part in several meaningful devotional activities deeply rooted in the Salesian tradition:

The Burning of Letters to Our Lady:
This beautiful Salesian custom allowed each participant to offer a personal prayer, heartfelt intention, or silent hope to the Blessed Virgin Mary. As the letters were burned and the smoke gently rose heavenward, the community entrusted to Mary all their joys, sorrows, and concerns. This simple yet profound gesture awakened a spirit of childlike trust and confidence characteristic of the spirituality of Saint John Bosco.
Floral Dance in Honor of Mary:
Mothers’ groups, choir members, Salesian cooperators, and children united in song and graceful offerings of flowers, expressing reverence and filial love toward the Blessed Mother in an atmosphere of solemnity and devotion.
Marian Procession:
Another highlight of the celebration was the flower procession from the front courtyard of the Institute to the church of the Pastoral Center. The procession gathered all members of the People of God in a visible sign of communion and shared faith.

Thanksgiving Mass: Living a Spirit of Trust and Charity
The Feast of Mary Help of Christians was celebrated with great solemnity and fervor. Through the proclamation of the Word of God and the homily, the faithful were invited to contemplate the Virgin Mary as the perfect model of faithful obedience and total surrender to God’s will. Following her example, every Christian is called to live a life of charity, generous service, and unwavering trust in Divine Providence.
The title “Mary Help of Christians” once again reminded the community of the Blessed Mother’s constant presence as she continues to protect, accompany, and strengthen God’s people amid the challenges and uncertainties of modern life.
A Grace-Filled Conclusion to the Celebration
At the conclusion of the Mass, participants received back their “letters” accompanied by spiritual messages inspired by the Blessed Mother, serving as treasured spiritual gifts. This meaningful activity brought joy and encouragement while also inspiring each person to carry home renewed hope, love, and faith.
May Mary Help of Christians continue to accompany, protect, and shower abundant blessings upon the Don Bosco Pastoral Center in Dalat. May she help every member of the community to keep alive the flame of fervent faith and to live out the spirit of charity and service according to the Salesian charism and spirituality.
